National Maths Talent Contest (NMTC)

NMTC is a National level exam which is conducted by Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI). The AMTI is a pioneer organization in promoting, and conducting, Maths Talent Tests in India. This competition is well known for its non-routine problems.

NMTC aims to discover and encourage students who have the capacity for original and creative thinking, readiness to attack unfamiliar and non-routine problems exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate to their level. Students of Std.5th to Std.12th can take part.

NMTC Stage 1: PRELIMINARY TEST

It consists of objective type questions in multiple choice types and fill in the blanks, each 50% of the total.

NMTC Stage 2: FINAL TEST

It consists of essay type questions.

Levels

  • Primary level: Standards 5 and 6, is called the Gauss Contest
  • Sub-junior level: Standards 7 and 8, is called the Kaprekar Contest
  • Junior level: Standards 9 and 10, is called the Bhaskara Contest
  • Inter level: Standards 11 and 12, is called the Ramanujan Contest

 

ALLEN NMTC Workshop

Allen conducts different workshops for both the stages of the workshop. We train students for Non Routine Mathematics and conduct sessions for time management. We conduct series of Mock tests to help students for better performance in the exam.
